Breakthrough Behavior offers comprehensive behavior analysis services to individuals, families and schools. Our services are provided by highly-trained and qualified individuals to ensure maximum treatment outcomes.

HOME-BASED ABA

Home-based therapy allows our therapists to provide treatment in everyday situations in your home. Home-based care also allows therapists to meet regularly with the family to review the child’s progress and make treatment adjustments as needed. The goal of home services is to provide support and training to the family in a more familiar setting.  Providing therapy in the home setting allows us to observe client behaviors in the family environment and design programs to address those behaviors. For example, it is beneficial for teaching eating, bedtime routines and toilet training. It also provides opportunities for additional parent and family involvement and training, as well as community outings. The long term goal for each client is to enable them to generalize their skills to the home, school, and community and be able to fully participate in family, school, and community activities.

CLINIC-BASED ABA

In our new clinic, Breakthrough Behavior offers therapy sessions in a structured environment with access to peers, social support and consultation with our speech and language pathologist. Our clinic utilizes Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and specializes in treating children with developmental disabilities. Each client works one-on-one with a therapist and all necessary equipment is within our clinic in order to provide a fun, natural and positive setting for your child. Sessions held at our clinic help to provide opportunities for social interactions with peers and increased exposure to a language-rich environment. From sensory bins to a trampoline, we have everything necessary to help our clients succeed and learn a variety of important skills.

In our clinic, we are able to provide supervision with a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) supervisor, therapy team collaborations, and social interactions. Our services include teaching verbal behavior, social skills, problem behavior reduction, play and group instruction, language interventions, functional communicating and more to overall improve the quality of life for the client.

SCHOOL-BASED ABA

Children with developmental disabilities may have difficulty succeeding in a school environment due to behavior, social, academic and communication issues. Breakthrough Behavior provides school-based ABA therapy by having a therapist work one-to-one with your child at school and help support their learning through the utilization of ABA strategies. Our team will implement treatment goals and behavior plans to help with any problem behaviors, learning difficulties, social behavioral challenges so that they are more appropriate for the school setting.

Our team is also able to attend IEP meetings, help with behavioral goals, and even train school staff on how to handle atypical behaviors. We are able to work with public and private schools depending on the school ad situation.

REGISTERED BEHAVIOR TECHNICIAN (RBT) TRAINING

Are you interested in pursuing the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the Behavior Analysts Certification Board (BACB)? Breakthrough Behavior is now offering a comprehensive training program to assist candidates in meeting the required 40-hour training requirement. In addition, every participant will have one-on-one training preparation with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA). Contact us today to learn more about becoming an RBT!

SCHOOL TRAINING

Breakthrough Behavior offers group trainings to school staff to improve behavior in the classroom setting. In these trainings, school staff will learn how to prevent problem behavior from occurring in the classroom as well as how to manage problem behavior once it has occurred. Breakthrough Behavior has helped nearly 80 classrooms use behavioral RTI (Response to Intervention) to successfully manage behavior challenges and prevent costly tier 3 interventions.

PARENT TRAINING

Breakthrough Behavior offers comprehensive group and individual parent training sessions. In these trainings, parents and caregivers will learn the fundamentals of behavior change and how to use basic strategies to improve their child's behavior. Trainings include one in-home visit to model implementation of behavior strategies with your child.

SPEECH THERAPY

Individuals with developmental disabilities often experience difficulty communicating effectively and efficiently. Communication deficits may present a number of challenges for children and families, limiting academic progress, appropriate socialization, and the overall quality of everyday life. Speech-language pathologists (SLPs) are trained to treat a variety of communication issues including problems with language, literacy and speech sounds. Speech therapy could help your child communicate wants and needs, expand the use of words and sentences, understand and express emotions, and recognize and interpret social cues.
